During this time he has provided financial support to the SAWF of approximately R700 000.
He is a lifetime Honorary Member of Sentral Gauteng.
Currently serves at Honorary President of the SAWF and over the last 3 ½ years has also held the post of chairman of the SAWF’s Legal advisory committee. He has played a leading roll in the re-writing of the current constitution of the SAWF.

Dave is from Central Gauteng were he was a wrestler and a Coach. He was the Senior Vice Pesident of the SAWF for year and has been the President of the SAWF for the last few years. He was the Vice President of CALA for 10 years. He Currently is on FILA’s development committee. He was involved in the negotiations in 1990/1991 to reinstate South Africa back into FILA. Was the Team Manager/Coach to accompany the SA Wrestlers to the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcalona. He was part of the NOCSA Management team at the Olypic Games of 1996 and 2000. He was the FILA representative during the 2003 Africa Games in Nigeria. Has been a member of SASCOC since 2004. First Year Elected to SASF: 1997 Willem Putter is a Bank Official with a PhD in Accounting and also a Mathematician with a BSc degree. He wrestled for the Springbok Wrestling team from 1985 to 1993 and represent South Africa in the National Protea team from 1994 to 2001. He captained the team on numerous occasions since 1985. In 1995 he started Masters Wrestling in South Africa and has won the Masters World Champion title four times. He is currently very involved in coaching and was the manager for the national team to the 2002 Commonwealth Games and the 2004 Olympic Games.
