TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Each grappler will make their own travel arrangements but as said before the official correspondence to FILA and the organizers will be handle by the secretary-general of the SAWF.

VISAS

Applications for visas is the responsibility of each grappler. There is a specific process that needs to be followed. See the document attached.


TEAM MANAGER

It is easier if there is a person that can act as a "team manager". In the wrestling scenario we have accredited and graded team managers that know exactly what to do. For this tournament anyone who will take the responsibility of this position will be allowed to act as the team manager.

SPONSORSHIP LETTERS
Will be supplied after the accommodation fees have been deposited

COLOURS
No national colours will be awarded to anyone SA grappler attending this tournament.

FILA APPROVED COMPETITION UNIFORM
See the requirements. They are very strict about this.

COSTS
The following is just a rough guesstimate:

Air ticket R12,000
Accommodation 4 days R 4,000
FILA License R 800
Competition fee R 800 per style
Visa R 1,000
Travel insurance R 400

WAY FORWARD

1. By Friday 16 October (14:00) I need to be informed who wants to attend the Championship. Anyone who attended the trails can apply to go.
Complete the DEFINITIVE REGISTRATION FORM in the information document.
FULL NAMES AS PER PASSPORT. Separate form for Gi and No-gi.
2. From the list the four applicants that have the best official placing per weight category will be allowed to go (19 October).
3. Accommodation fees should then be paid to the SAWF by 20 October.
4. Official entries will be submitted to FILA for the participants who paid their accommodation fees as at 20 October.
5. Sponsorship letters will be forwarded to the participants as in 4. (22 October).
